This fairlead is made specifically for short drum winches. Our fairleads are machined from billet aluminum, are extremely light weight, and maintain a smooth machined surface. Why run an aluminum fairlead over a steel hawse or roller fairlead? Steel hawse fairleads have a coarse finish and can tear up synthetic rope, and roller fairleads can pinch and break the rope if it gets caught in between its rollers. Each aluminum fairlead comes with OEM quality mounting hardware as shown.
